CanadaThis machine is design for engraving, but with reduced feeds it can machine also. And is really fun if you have patience for it. :D
United StatesI already wrote a review, but I thought I would do another one to share how absolutely amazing this CNC machine is at engraving PCBs (even with stock spindle). The track separation is superb, and there were absolutely no burred edges on any of the tracks. I did not need to sand the face of the board to remove any rough burrs. I am truly satisfied with the performance and accuracy of this machine. I have attached a picture of a test engraving, this was a single pass run so excess copper wasn't removed between traces but it still came out fine.

This is a nice CNC hobby Machine for me. Below are some shots of what I was able to do with the 2.5 W laser head attachment.
I have really enjoyed the 3018-PRO. My daughter and I had fun putting it together. I have added a drag chain along the X axis to keep the wires nice and tidy. I added X, Y, and Z limit switches to their zero so I can home the machine automatically. When I get some more time, I would like to also add the X, Y, and Z limit switches to the positive extreme. I have ordered a new button to be used as an abort/pause switch. I have a switch in place now but it doesn't look quite right as it was a reset switch I scavenged off something I took apart. The only thing I do not like about this machine is the size. I like that I can just set it on my desk and mess around with it. If only I could still do that and have a larger working area. For learning, doing small projects, having fun, this is a fantastic machine.
I just really wanted to show what its done plus a bit more of a stronger motor would be nice to cut down on time and a bit bigger work area would be good to but I'm very happy with the machine so far.
The machine is fairly easy to put together. The problem I had was the under bed mounts, screws are just barely long enough. Once set up I installed the Offline Controller as I want mine to be standalone. Again Easy! Started up the machine, attempted my first level (I need practice) and ran my own gcode file with success.
I love this CNC I’m having a blast with it and the customer service I have had just one word can describe it is Awesome
United StatesI am new to cnc carving , but the machine has only done the iPhone design and now the motor for the x and y axis do not work at all. I tried with the software included, and easel! I wish I could return the item!!!
United StatesThis is a great tool for beginners like myself. I have had so much fun using it. Assembly was pretty straight forward and completed quickly. I did have a problem with my X-Z axis assembly after some use. I contact SainSmart support and after I sent a short video of what was going on they sent me a new assembly the same day! I received it in a few days and it worked perfect. GREAT SUPPORT!!
