New Version
Genmitsu CNC Router PRO is an upgraded version of Genmitsu CNC Router. All components do not need to be positioned, which greatly reduces the difficulty of assembly and improves the working accuracy. Moreover, the base height is raised to 4cm for a better stability.
Integrated
With an integrated mainboard and custom software, communication between the software and hardware is seamless by design.
Software
The Genmitsu uses Grbl, high performance, open-source software for controlling movement, and runs on Arduino. Its dependability and simplicity make Grbl an industry standard, so there’s no lack of support and resources available when you get stuck.

United StatesThe assembly was straightforward and easy. Recommend you wax the lead screws. My first carves were not very successful as I had the feed and plunge rates to high for the 3018. After I figured out how to adjust that the carves went well but took longer. Overall pleased with the unit and what it will teach me about machining with a CNC

CanadaI did a LOT of background research before finally considering purchasing the 3018 PRO from SainSmart. It was the machine that I wanted. When it was offered as a Special Bundle Kit that included a mid-grade Laser in addition to the base 3018, plus a number of bits and collets, well the decision didn't require a second thought! The package arrived in a few days after ordering, the set-up was a breeze (with a little assistance to the instruction manual from YouTube) and it worked first time! :-) :-) :-)

Without the information from Facebook group I probably would have returned the machine. Your instructions are useless, like buying a car with no owners manual, you can turn it on but you have no idea what options are available & which buttons control them!
United StatesThe order showed up in a timely manner. It was packaged well and everything needed for assembly was in the box. The instructions were very simple and assembling the machine went good it took me a couple hours and I had it going. It is exactly what I expected it to be. I intent to use it the machine to learn how to program and manipulate cnc and laser tools. I believe it will be perfect for that. Overall I like it. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the lack of information about which CAD programs work best with the machine. That would have been nice to know that in advance.
United StatesEverything went together really well and the instructions were clear. I had some confusion when the laser components were shipped separately, but I just needed to be patient to get the second package. My main feedback is that there isn't a super easy way to swap between the router spindle and the laser. I picked up some new connectors to make it easier to at least keep all the wiring in place, but I haven't done the mods yet.
