GermanyThe Laser Module Kit perfectly matches the 3018 Pro CNC machine, is easy to install and works just fine. However it comes with absolutely no documentation, so customers are left alone figuring out how everything works.
In about 5 minutes, I was able to convert my 3018 Pro CNC from carving to laser etching. I plugged in the offline control and etched the “iPhone” image stored in it’s microSD card on a piece of 1/8” baltic birch plywood. I had already installed LaserGRBL, so next, I grabbed a JPG of a celtic design and etched it. Finally, I created my name & a logo in MSPaint, saved it as a JPG, and burned it on a small leather notebook. I love this thing. My wife is pretty impressed, too.

United StatesIt works great once I figured out how to connect it to my control board. I have a 2018PROVer and my control board does not have a mating jack to plug the unit into. I had to solder my wires directly to the pins on my board. My board has two separate jacks and not one as pictured in the instructions.

United StatesThe laser is definitely powerful enough for a hobby laser. Probably wouldn't want too much more powerful for a non-enclosed and ventilated case.
